The 2006 World Cup winner has overseen an uptick in results that has put them in contention for next seasons Champions League.
Roma and Bayer Leverkusen will meet in the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League for the second season in succession after the Italian giants overcame Ajax in the quarterfinals.
The match will take place at the Stadio Olimpico on Thursday, May 2, 2024, with kick-off scheduled for 8pm BST.
Roma, who won the Europa League in 2021, will be looking to reach the final for the second time in three seasons. They will be confident of doing so after beating Ajax 2-1 on aggregate in the quarterfinals.
Bayer Leverkusen, meanwhile, will be looking to cause an upset and reach the final for the first time since 2002. They will be buoyed by their impressive performance in the quarterfinals, where they beat Atalanta 4-2 on aggregate.
The match is sure to be a close and exciting affair, with both teams having a chance of reaching the final.
